Tools With A Mission

Tools With A Mission (TWAM) is a Christian charity, established some thirty years ago, which collects, sharpens, de-rusts and sends unwanted tools to developing counties. There they are distributed to known and established projects, where training can be given and individuals and organisations equipped with the tools they need in order to earn a living and hence feed and educate a family. This results in lives totally changed by lifting individuals and families out of poverty.

In a typical year 200 tonnes of aid is shipped from TWAM’s warehouse in Ipswich and sent to central African countries, Malawi, Philippines and some Eastern European countries.

Although TWAM is a Christian charity supported by many churches and other groups across the U.K. it tries to respond to request for help from any known agency, regardless of faith or ethnic background, wherever such help is needed.

This is your chance to help. From 16th July to 5th August, Princes Risborough Baptist Church is providing a collection point for all your old unwanted tools. The Church will be open between 10.00 and noon on every Monday ‘til Friday between the dates given. Many sorts of tools are needed from sewing machines to spanners and chisels. (See full list provided, Items wanted, Items NOT wanted.) All your donations will be most welcome and that unused piece of kit cluttering up your shed or garage could soon be on its way to change a life!
