More Information About Sundays
Bibles and Leaflets
There are Bibles available in the pews, although the words of the Scripture Readings are also projected onto a screen. You will also be given a Welcome Leaflet, which will tell you more about our Church and its activities.
What Happens In The Service?
Services are at 10.30 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. and each lasts about 1¼ hours. Worship includes a mixture of old and modern songs and hymns. In the morning our singing is led by a music group; in the evening, singing is accompanied by the organ or piano. The words of the songs and hymns are usually projected onto a large screen. Hymn books are also available, including large print versions.
There is a loop system for the hard of hearing. Just turn your hearing aid to the letter "T" setting to take advantage of this facility.
What About Children?
Each week, the first part of the morning service is prepared to include the children before they leave for their activities in the Sunday Club or Crèche. If you are a visitor and would like your child to join these activities, please ask one of the Stewards to accompany you when the children leave the church building.
On the second Sunday of each month there is an All-Age Service in the morning. The children stay in the Church but the Crèche is still available for little ones.
All Leaders working with the children and young people are verified as acceptable under our Child Protection Policy.
Communion
This is included in the morning service on the first Sunday of each month and in the evening service of the third Sunday. We invite all those who love the Lord Jesus Christ to share with us in this celebration of the Lord's Supper. If you do not wish to take part, you are very welcome to remain.
After The Service
If you have a question or a particular need or would like to speak to someone or have them pray with you, just ask one of the Stewards.
Refreshments
After the morning service, tea, coffee and biscuits are served in the adjacent Hall. Most people stay for this and it is a good time to meet informally.
Toilets
Toilets are situated through the door by the pipe organ and there is a baby changing facility in the ladies. There is a toilet for the disabled in the Lower Hall. Please ask one of the Stewards to direct you.
